Momentum and Bespoke Education
We can provide you with a specialised learning programme which can be tailored to meet your needs. You may need to resit some GCSE or A Level courses as you need a pass to progress onto your chosen career pathway? You may have passed these courses but want to achieve higher marks?
You might be considering a Foundation Level 3 Diploma which is equivalent to 3 A Levels in the UCAS Tariff tables. Increasingly Universities and Employers are recognising this is an alternative to A Levels, and it can be more useful, depending on your future career plans.
Our OTHM Level 3 Diploma courses are equivalent to a Foundation Course and will prepare you for a Graduate Scheme or an Undergraduate course at a UK University. As a recognised UCAS College, we have a proven track record of teaching students in person and online, who go on to study at Russell Group Universities achieving excellent results and progressing to the next stage of their career or studies.
Here at Bristol Tutorial College, we’ve received a growing number of enquiries from parents whose teenagers have disengaged from traditional school pathways and who do not show enthusiasm for school and learning. We have been building and delivering bespoke programmes for these teenagers, to rebuild their confidence, develop their skills, and help get them ready for the next stage on their journey, whatever that may be.
We’ve decided to call this approach Momentum. Together we create a structure and content that will engage, excite and motivate your child. There is no such thing as a typical programme, but it might include: formal or informal study in academic subjects, retaking exams where needed, trying a new subject for the first time, practical profession-based learning, for example, a bespoke course in entrepreneurship skills, Mentoring and coaching.
With a golden thread of extremely high levels of pastoral support from our highly experienced and qualified team, Momentum will help your child discover their passions and develop their interests, giving them relevant and valuable future options.
Jack’s Story
Jack, 17, started Momentum this September at Bristol Tutorial College. After struggling with school post-Covid, he attended school less and less frequently and felt unable to sit most of his GCSEs. Jack really wanted to follow his father into property development, but felt disheartened about the skills and qualifications that he might need to make this dream come true. Jack comes to Bristol Tutorial College four days a week. We have brought in industry experts to teach him about the fundamentals of interior architecture. This non-examined course is constructed around particular projects and interests and is constantly developing Jack’s essential knowledge and understanding while building his self-esteem and confidence. Jack is studying A Level Art alongside this bespoke course, simply because he loves Art, and Jack will be resitting his Maths next week. We are confident that he will show his true ability and pass with flying colours.
For the first time in years, Jack is motivated to achieve, rediscovering his mojo, and gaining Momentum. We are all so proud of you, Jack.
We can offer you a wide range of study options which includes in-person teaching, hybrid learning and online learning. You can choose to study at Berkeley Square in Bristol, or online; or if it’s more convenient for you a combination of both; we call this hybrid learning. Our student centered approach means that we can offer you an individually tailored bespoke learning package, alongside enrichment sessions, cultural visits and social events.
Whatever you decide to study with us, you will take part in an enrichment programme specifically designed to prepare you for life at university and beyond. We also believe that our programme of social events gives you a chance to explore the wide range of cultural activities Bristol has to offer. Bristol is rich and vibrant city, and we are located next to many parks and historical sites.
